Summary
Monosubstituted pyridines were analyzed by gas-liquid chromatography on polysiloxanes: OV-1, OV-3, OV-11, OV-17, OV-25, OV-225 and polyesters: DEGS, DEGGLU, DEGA, EGTCP. The forces influencing the order of elution and degree of separation of these compounds were discussed through the values of heat of solution, ΔH, obtained from retention data. Furthermore, these values of ΔH were utilized to rank the selectivity of the liquid phases toward pyridine derivatives.
