Summary

A high pressure liquid chromatographic method of fatty acid analysis has been developed using the fluorescent label, 4-bromomethyl-7-methoxycoumarin. Two simplified procedures for derivatization using sealed reaction vessels allow derivatization of volumes of 200 to 500 mm3 and 2 to 5 mm3 respectively.
