Summary
Peroxides can be detected on paper or thinlayer plates by application of a new reagent. All kinds of peroxides seem to be detectable. The sensitivity is about 1 μg. The resulting blue spots can be scanned by a densitometer and quantitative determinations of known peroxides can be performed with a repeatability of ±5%.
