Schlußfolgerung

Solange keine zwingenden Indikationen vorliegen, sollte versucht werden die Episiotomie möglichst zu vermeiden (7, 8). Erscheint eine Episiotomie erforderlich, so ist die mediane Episiotomie zu favorisieren (2, 4).
