Summary
It is well known, that the mean sea-level is dependent of the volume of glacier ice simultaneously stored over the continents of our planet. But the oscillations of that level motivated by changes of the ice accumulation correspond to a curve superposed over another one, that shows an uninterrupted descent of the sea-level since the beginning of the pleistocene epoch. The phenomenon may be due to a deepening of the oceans or to the escape of hydrogen from the Earth's atmosphere into the interstellar space. Moreover some new informations referring to changes of the sea-level are examined.
