Zusammenfassung

Für einen störungsfreien Tag (26./27. Dezember 1970) in der zentralen Sahara werden Windprofilmessungen (bis 5,7 m Höhe) ausgewertet. Es zeigt sich, daß das log-linear Gesetz unter wüstenhaften Bedingungen (thermische Schichtung: −0,07≦z/L≦1,0, hohe Windgeschwindigkeit) anwendbar ist. Anhand der Wind- und Schubspannungsgeschwindigkeit, Richardsonzahl und Monin-Obuchow-Länge wird ein typischer Tagesgang dokumentiert. Der mittlere Monin-Obuchow-Koeffizient β ergibt sich zu 6.1.

Summary

Wind profile data (heights up to 5.7m) are evaluated for an undisturbed day (26./27. December 1970) in the Central Sahara Desert. It is found that the log-linear law is valid for desertlike conditions (thermal stratification: −0.07≦z/L≦1.0, high windspeed). A typical diurnal variation is documented for the wind- and frictional velocity, the Richardson-number, and the Monin-Obuchowlength. The mean Monin-Obuchow-coefficient is 6.1.
