Interpolation methods in one dimensional optimization

Abstract

Various rational functions are compared as interpolation functions in one dimensional optimization. Three types of objective functions are employed for numerical tests—quadratic type, asymmetric type and bath-tub shaped functions.

Zusammenfassung

Numerische Vergleiche zwischen rationalen Funktionen als Interpolationsfunktionen bei eindimensionalen Optimierungsaufgaben. Als Text-Zielfunktionen wurden Funktionen von drei Typen ausgewählt: symmetrische und nichtsymmetrische Funktionen und Funktionen mit Badewannengestalt.
