Summary

The problem of restoring the true input to a physical system from its distorted output is solved by an analogue technique that performs all operations in the time domain and in real time. The technique is demonstrated for the particular case of a precision radiometer. A significant (20 fold) widening of the useful bandwidth is obtained with moderate instrumentation effort.
