Summary
The correlative analysis between the time series of the air masses and the numbers of illness are based on weekly reports on poliomyelitis in Switzerland, in Austria and Bavaria. By means of an overestimated system of equations the share of the types of air masses in producing and timing an epidemie are evaluated. It has been differenciated in the ascent, top and descent range of the epidemic curves. The efficiency of the air masses to the development of the epidemies is deduced by comparison of observed and computed numbers of illness. The efficiency coefficient of warm air masses is in the range of 0.3 to 0.5.
