Abstract

Discrete invariant imbedding is combined with frontracking to give a method for the numerical solution of free boundary problems in one dimension which requires only marginally more effort than that required to solve analogous problems with fixed boundaries.

Zusammenfassung

Die Kombination der Techniken zur invarianten Einbettung und zum Verfolgen der Front ergibt eine Methode für die numerische Lösung von Problemen mit freiem Rand in einer Dimension, die nur einen geringfügig höheren Aufwand als zur Lösung analoger Probleme mit festen Grenzen erfordert.
