Beitrag zum Status des in Argentinien eingebürgerten Rothirsches (Cervus elaphus L., 1758)

Zusammenfassung

Während eines dreimonatigen Forschungsaufenthaltes in Argentinien wurden die Hauptverbreitungsgebiete des dort im Jahre 1900 eingebürgerten europäischen Rothirsches bereist. Neben der Auswertung von Jagdstatistiken und jagdgesetzlichen Regelungen wurde eine Habitatbeschreibung durchgeführt. Angaben zur Einbürgerungsgeschichte, Verbreitung und zur jagdlichen Bewirtschaftung des Rotwildbestandes ergänzen die Darstellung des gegenwärtigen Wissensstandes über den Rothirsch in Argentinien.

Summary

During a three-month research period in Argentina the main areas of dispersion of the European red deer, which was naturalised there in 1900, were toured. In addition to the evaluation of hunting statistics and the provisions of the laws of hunting, a description of the habitat was made. Data on the history of the naturalisation process, on the dispersion and on the hunting management of the red deer population amplify the presentation of the current state of knowledge on the red deer in Argentina.

Résumé

Au cours d'un séjour d'étude de trois mois en Argentine, les principaux centres de dispersion du Cerf européen, introduit en 1900, ont été parcourus. Outre de le dépouillement de statistiques de chasse et l'examen de réglementations cynégétiques, une description de l'habitat a été faite. Des données sur le déroulement des acclimatations, sur la dispersion et sur la gestion cynégétique des effectifs de l'espèce complètent l'etat de nos connaissances actuelles sur le Cerf élaphe en ARgentine.
