Summary

An outbreak of caseous lymphadenitis in sheep and goats was investigated and a micrococcus, similar to that associated with “Morel's abscess disease” in France and Kenya, was consistently isolated from the lesions. This organism might be a distinct species, but the possibility of it being a “G” form of a staphylococcus is also discussed.
