Summary
A case of gastric lipoma is reported. The fairly common misdiagnosis of this lesion, as a gastric malignancy, was made preoperatively. Radiographic features of the tumor included both typical and atypical aspects of a benign mass. Gastroscopic features were also misleading. Despite direct visualization, gastric lipoma continues to present problems in preoperative diagnosis.
