Late results of the treatment of hiatal hernia

An analysis of 200 cases

Summary

Follow-up sudies are reported for 200 consecutive cases of hiatal hernia. Of prime importance in determining treatment was the adequacy of the inferior sphincteric mechanism.

In this series the incidence of complications was low.
