Abstract

In 8 patients presenting with symptoms suggestive of the cystic duct syndrome, cholecystokinin cholecystograms were performed. These tests were helpful in establishing the diagnosis. In 7 patients, in whom a partial noncalculous mechanical obstruction of the cystic duct was surgically confirmed, cholecystokinin cholecystograms were abnormal. They were also normal in 1 patient, in whom no pathologic changes in the biliary tract were found at operation.
