Ein Beitrag zu Existenzkriterien in der Optimierungstheorie

Zusammenfassung

In der vorgelegten Arbeit wird der bekannteste Existenzsatz in der Optimierungstheorie: „Eine stetige Funktion nimmt auf einem Kompaktum ihr Minimum und ihr Maximum an” verallgemeinert. Dabei zeigt sich, daß dieses Kriterium nicht nur hinreichend, sondern in einem gewissen Sinn auch notwendig ist. Der Beweis knüpft direkt an das Lemma vonZorn an.

Summary

The most known existence theorem in optimization theory: „A continous function assumes its minimum and maximum on a compact set” is generalized. It turns out, that this criteria is not only sufficiant but also neccesary. The proof will be obtained directly from the lemma ofZorn.
