Abstract
Results on the development of heat-resistant ceramics based on quartz-kaolinite-pyrophyllite rocks of the Boinaksaiskoe Deposit (Uzbekistan) are presented. The structure of the materials is represented by cordierite and cordierite-mullite compositions. Technological aspects of the problem, physical and engineering properties of the developed materials, and results of experiments on the effect of thermal loads on the mechanical strength are described.
