Es wird ein Hochperioden-Echolot besehrieben, bei welchem durch Annwendung einer Frequenztransformation auf der Empfängerseite eine beträchtliche Erhöhung der Lottepfindlichkeit erreicht werden kann. Die Aufgabe, ohne wesentlichen apparativen Aufwand, mit einem Hochperiodenlot allein alle Forderungen der Navigation hinsichtlich Echolotung kleiner, mittlerer und großer Tiefen erfüllen zu können, ist damit ihrer Lösung wesentlich näher gebracht.

A high-periodic echo-sounder is described which, by means of a transformation of frequency within the receiver enables the sensitivity of sounding to be considerably increased. This is a noteworthy step towards the solution of the problem of fulfilling all demands of navigation with regard to the measuring of small, medium, and great depths by means of a single high-periodic echo-sounder without undue claboration of apparatus.
