A high official of the United Nations (in the field of trade and development) between 1964 and 1971, during the past twenty years he has published a number of books devoted to Asian countries and to problems of underdevelopment, each translated into more than a dozen languages. His latest book, From Aid to Recolonization: Lessons of a Failure,has already been published in nine countries. Tibor Mende is visiting professor at several European universities.
