Abstract

In miniature optically pumped FIR laser, NH3 molecules pumped by CO2 9R(16) produce a pair of FIR Raman transition: s→aP(7,0) and a→aP(7,1), which are very close in frequency. When the operating gas pressure is high, the interaction enhancement effect occurs, making the FIR output enhance very much.
