Abstract
The expression is derived for the mean-square error of measuring the angular position of a distant radiation source, which is caused by the random amplitude fluctuations due to atmospheric turbulence. The theoretical results obtained and the experimental data allow estimation of the possibility of the one-pulse method of measuring the angular position of the source of optical radiation in a medium with random inhomogeneities.
