General approaches to accounting for energy dissipation in the material during transverse vibrations of elastic systems

Abstract

Approximate methods of nonlinear mechanics are used to develop a method of accounting for energy dissipation in a material undergoing cyclic deformation while in a nonuniform stress state during transverse vibration.
