Volgens art. 13 der Nederlandsche wet van 26 November 1847 (Stantsblad No. 69) weegt de gouden Willem (negotiepenning) 6.729 grammes, met ecue ruinite van 1 1/2 duizendste, zoowel boven als beneden dat gewigt. Hij bevat 6.056 grammes fijn goud en het gehalte is bepaald op 0.900 met de ruimte van 1 1/2 duizendste. De halve gonden Willem weegt 3.3645 grammes, met eene ruimte van 2/1000. De middellijnen zijn bij K. B. van 29 Junij 1848 (Staatsblad No. 27) bepaald op 22.5 streep en op 18 streep. Onze gulden bevat 9.450 grammes fijn zilver, weegt er 10 met 3/1000 ruimte. De middellijn houdt 28 streep. Het gehalte is 0.945 met 1 1/2 duizendste speling. Onze rijksdaalder weegt 25 grammes met 2/1000 ruimte en heeft 38 streep middellijn.
