Summary

A bacterium (Pseudomonas sp.), which was repeatedly isolated from the caryopses of the grass,Tripsacum dactyloides, inhibited the growth of selected species of fungi, includingPenicillium chrysogenum, Rhizopus stolonifer, andTrichoderma viride. This inhibition may prevent fungal decomposition of caryopses ofT. dactyloides.
