William U. Chandler is a senior researcher at the Worldwatch Institute in Washington, D.C., a non-profit research organization created to analyse and to focus attention on global problems. He has been a senior staff member of the Environmental Policy Institute, and a research associate of the University of Tennessee. He is the author of The Myth of TVA: Conservation and Development in the Tennessee Valley, 1933–1983,as well as Improving World Health: A Least-Cost Strategy,and Investing in Children,both of which are Worldwatch publications.
