Her main areas of research focus on assessing the functioning and efficiency of education systems and on international comparisons of mathematics, computer sciences, reading, mathematics and science, as well as on comparative education. She is responsible for IEA's international surveys in France and works with foreign education ministries as a consultant in evaluating their education systems. Author of various IEA reports and surveys carried out for ministers of education (Mauritania, Madagascar).
