Abstract
In this paper a frequency shifter using coaxial fibres with the applied acoustic wave is proposed. Two frequency shifts for a given coaxial structure are found to be possible when the coaxial fibre is excited with appropriate light patterns and acoustic model power. The general design procedure for such a frequency shifter is also outlined.
