Es wurden Untersuchungen auf Oxyurenbefall in einem Kinderheim durchgeführt. Dabei wurde nebeneinander Material mit der Öse und durch Cellophanwischprobe entnommen.

Letztere erwies sich als stark überlegen. Sie stellt nach unseren bisherigen Erfahrungen zur Zeit die brauchbarste Untersuchungsmethode dar.

Zur Erfassung aller Befallenen ist es notwendig, bis zu 3 Wischproben durchzuführen.

Die ermittelten Infektionsgrade waren höher als die meisten Vergleichszahlen anderer Autoren.

Der Befall war trotz günstiger hygienischer Verhältnisse ungefähr ebenso stark wie bei den ambulanten Patienten einer Kinderklinik. Als Ursache spielt die nie völlig auszuschaltende Staubinfektion eine wesentliche Rolle.
