Summary
A process is described for the measurement of the threshold value of individual susceptibility to alcohol. This process consists of testing the contents of the eosinophiles in the peripheral blood after simultaneous oral administration of a known amount of cortisone and aethanol. The occurence or non-occurence of an eosinophile depression depends upon the function of the adrenal cortex. The significance of constitutional factors is pointed out.
