Summary
When 10 p.p.m. and 1,000 p.p.m. of the sodium salts of 2,4-D (2,4-DNa) and DNOC (DNOCNa) and ofo-isopropyl-N-phenyl carbamate (IFC) are mixed together in binary and ternary combinations, a potentializing (synergistic) effect on wheat and tomato seedlings is observed, judged by the number of days elapsing from treatment to complete wilting. Both in binary and ternary combinations the greatest effect has been ascertained from the interaction of low concentrations of DNOCNa on 2,4-DNa (on tomatoes) and on IFC (on wheat). The practical importance of these preliminary results is briefly sketched.
