Si esaminano in dettaglio le caratteristiche della prima armonica di un'onda sinusoidale progressiva. L'analisi riguarda le onde dominate dalla gravità, e prescinde quindi dalla tensione superficiale.

Summary

The first harmonic of a sinusoidal progressing wave is considered here. Only gravity waves are dealt with, surface tension effects being ignored.
