A côté de neuf acides aminés un composé polyphénolique est décelé dans l'extrait aqueux deTribolium confusum Duval. Le chromatogramme sur papier traité par K3Fe(CN)6 et l'analyse I.R. révèlent qu'il s'agit du catéchol.
