Vergleich der klinischen und instrumentellen Funktionsbefunde bei Probanden mit einer Angle-Klasse II/2 gegenüber einer Eugnathengruppe

Zusammenfassung

Im Rahmen einer klinischen und instrumentellen Funktionsanalyse werden die Befunde einer Probandengruppe mit einer Angle-Klasse II/2 einer eugnathen Kontrollgruppe in einer statistischen Untersuchung gegenübergestellt. Die aus der Literaturübersicht resultierende Tendenz, daß Probanden einer Angle-Klasse II/2 häufiger Symptome einer Myoarthropathie aufweisen, wird durch die eigenen Ergebnisse bestätigt, Für die Annahme einer steilen horizontalen Kondylenbahnneigung ergeben die eigenen Ergebnisse per se und im Vergleich zu der eugnathen Kontrollgruppe keine Unterstützung. Gerade bei Patienten mit reklinierter Oberkieferfront und tiefem Biß sollte zu Beginn der Behandlung eine Funktionsanalyse erhoben werden; bei positivem Befund ist die Korrektur der Reklination erstes Therapiziel.

Summary

On the basis of a clinical and functional analysis, the diagnosis of a group of patients with Angle class II/2 malocclusion is compared with a control group with normal occlusion in a statistical study. The present study confirms the tendency revealed in the literature for patients with an Angle class II/2 malocelusion to more frequently show symptoms of a myoarthropathy. However, our results failed to confirm the assumption made in previous studies that class II/2 patients have a steep condylar axis. In particular in patients with relatively vertical upper incisors and a deep bite, a functional analysis should be done at the start of treatment. In the event of problems being found, the primary aim of therapy is the correction of the upper incisor angle.
