Zusammenfassung

Mit der vorliegenden klinischen Untersuchung konnte gezeigt werden, daß die Detailzeichnung von Fernröntgenseitenbildern bei Verwendung einer neuen hochverstärkenden Film-Folien-Kombination der Qualität eines zum Vergleich herangezogenen Standardröntgenfilmes in Kombination mit einer konventionellen CaWO4-Folie zumindest gleichzusetzen ist. Die erzielte Dosisreduktion lag je nach Patienten- und Aufnahmetyp zwischen 48 und 68% (FRS) bzw. 34 und 74% (OPG).

Summary

The present clinical investigation has shown that the quality of lateral cephalograms obtained by using a new highly intensifying screen/film combination compares favourably with the quality of cephalograms obtained by using conventional X-ray films combined with calcium wolframate intensifying screens. The calculated dose reduction rate varied from 48 to 68% (lateral cephalograms) and from 34 to 74% (panoramic X-rays).

Résumé

Le présent examen clinique a montré que le dessin de détail de téléradiographies de profil obtenus en utilisant une nouvelle combinaision hautement amplificatrice film-pellicule présente une qualité au moins équivalente au résultat obtenu avec le film radiographique standard associé á une pellicule CaWo4 conventionnelle, pris comme point de comparaison. La réduction de la dose de rayons ainsi obtenue se situait, selon le type de patients et de clichés, entre 48 et 68% (FRS) ou bien entre 34 et 74% (OPG).
