Die Kopf-Kinn-Kappe — ein funktionelles Risiko?

Zusammenfassung

Vorliegende Untersuchung beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, ob die Verwendung der Kopf-Kinn-Kappe bei Progeniepatienten ein funktionelles Risiko für das Kausystem beinhaltet. Beim Vergleich zweier Patientengruppen mit Hilfe desHelkimo-Indexes konnten keine Anhaltspunkte für eine derartige Vermutung gefunden werden.

Summary

The investigation presented here is concerned withthe question whether the use of a chin cap by prognathic patients involves a functional risk to the masticatory system. By a comparison of two patient groups through use of theHelkimo-Index no evidence for this could be found.

Résumé

La recherche qu'on présente ici, tend à'éclaircir si l'emploi du «chin cup» pour des patients prognathes, implique un risque fonctionnel pour le système orthognathique. En comparant deux groupes de patients et en nous servant du «Helkimo-Index» nous n'avons pas trouvé que cette thèse puisse être confirmée.
