Summary
Cytochemical methods demonstrate, in large frog's oocytes, a cortical ribonucleoprotein layer, which is not shifted by centrifugation, and a gradient in the arginine and tyrosine content of the yolk. These observations lend support toDalcq andPasteels' theoretical ideas.
