Die prächirurgische kieferorthopädische Behandlung von Säuglingen mit Lippen-Kiefer-Gaumen-Spalte

Zusammenfassung

Ziel der Frühbehandlung ist die Koordination von Wachstum und Funktion innerhalb der ersten Lebenstage. Mit Hilfe einer Platte aus hartem und weichbleibendem Kunststoff ist es möglich, das Wachstum der Alveolarfortsätze zu steuern und die Zungenlage zu normalisieren. Klinische Beispiele demonstrieren das Vorgehen und die Ergebnisse.

Summary

The aim of early treatment is to coordinate facial growth and function during the first days of life. With a plate made from hard and soft acrylic resin it is possible to guide the growth of the maxillary segments and to normalize tongue posture. Clinical examples demonstrate the procedure and the results.

Le but du traitement précoce est la coordination de la croissance et de la fonction pendant les premiers jours de vie. A l'aide d'une «plaque» en matière plastique dure et élastique, on peut diriger la croissance des procès alvéolaires et normaliser la position de la langue. Des exemples cliniques démontrent le procédé et les résultats.
