Zusammenfassung

Variolavirus reaktivierte wärmeinaktiviertes Vaccinevirus in HeLa-Zellkulturen, auf der CAM des bebrüteten Hühnereies und nach i.cer. Impfung der infantilen Maus. Die umgekehrte Reaktivierung von inaktiviertem Variolavirus mit vermehrungsfähigem Vaccinevirus konnte nur in HeLa-Kulturen nachgewiesen werden. Versuche an i.p. infizierten Babymäusen und intracutan geimpften Kaninchen verliefen negativ. Veränderungen der für das bebrütete Hühnerei charakteristischen Merkmale beider Viren wurden bei den Reaktivierungen nicht beobachtet.
