Summary

In the liver of diabetic animals, other and more labile polysaccharids are formed than in that of normal animals.

The iodine absorption, the speed of breakdown and the reaction with saturated ammonium sulfate of the polysaccharids isolated from the liver are different in the diabetic animal from those in the normal one.

The stepwise precipitation with ammonium sulfate of the polysaccharide isolated from the liver yielded 3 fractions in the diabetic animal whereas there was only one in the normal animal.
