Cystin verhindertin vitro in Gegenwart von FeIII-Ionen bei sensiblen, abgeschnittenen Baumwollschösslingen eine Vergiftung durch Kulturfiltrat vonFusarium vasinfectum. Die mögliche Beteiligung von Cystin am Mechanismus der Welkeresistenz von Baumwolle wird diskutiert.
