Interrelationship between vitamin B12 and pantothenic acid in the metabolism of “wild” strains ofEscherichia coli

Zusammenfassung

Drei « wilde » Stämme vonEscherichia coli wurden auf vitaminfreien Nährböden gezüchtet. Zusatz von Vitamin B12 in Konzentrationen von 0,03 bis 0,06γ je ml ergab bei verschiedenen Stämmen eine ungleiche Hemmung der Pantothensäure-Synthese. Die eindeutigsten Resultate wurden mit frischen Stämmen erzielt, die nur kurz auf Agar gezüchtet wurden.
