Summary
In certain tissues ofD. repleta-flies, it is possible to observe the interphase chromosomes that are either of larval origin or that occur in imaginal tissues. The imaginal interphase chromosomes from the midgut are similar to the small larval midgut chromosomes in the early phases of their development.
