Zusammenfassung
Die Untersuchung von 302 Serumproben verschiedener Altersklassen auf das Vorhandensein neutralisierender Antikörper gegen RS-Virus ergab einen Durchseuchungsgrad von 72,5%. Der niedrigste Wert fand sich mit 36,7% bei den 7–12 Monate alten Säuglingen, bereits bei den 6–10 Jahre alten Kindern reagierten 83,9% positiv. In den folgenden Altersgruppen kam es nur noch zu geringen Steigerungen der Häufigkeit positiver Titer. Im frühen Kindesalter traten signifikant häufiger niedrige Titer bis 1∶32 auf als bei älteren Kindern, Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen. Der geometrische Titermittelwert aller untersuchten Serumproben betrug 1 3n17,9, der aller positiven Seren 1∶41,2. Von einer Ausnahme abgesehen kamen signifikante Korrelationen zwischen den Antikörpern gegen RS-Virus einerseits und gegen Parainfluenza-, Reo- und Mumpsviren andererseits nicht vor, es fanden sich jedoch signifikant häufiger positive Korrelationen, die am ehesten durch die weite Verbreitung der genannten Viren erklärt werden können.
