Summary
The perfusion of the cerebral ventricles of dogs with a solution with lowp H (7·2–7·0) produces a stimulation of the respiration, whereas the perfusion with an alkaline solution (p H 7·6–8·0) determines an inhibition of the respiration. These changes are reversible.
