Summary

Ovaries of larvæ homozygous for the genelethaltranslucida (ltr) were transplanted in female larvaefes cn bw/fes cn bw. In the cases that an attachment of the implanted ovaries to the oviducts of the host took place, the sterile females after mating withcn bw/cn bw males gave a normal offspring, which genetically could be recognized as originating from thelethal-translucida ovaries.
