Summary
The electrical dark conductivity of several tocopherols has been measured and found to be analogous to that of organic semiconductors. Conductivity at 25°C varies between 10−14 and 10−11 Щ−1 cm−1. The temperature dependence of the tocopherols yields a thermal activation energy of 1.6 ± 0.15 eV for most of the substances.
