Serologische und toxikologische Untersuchungen der Lipopolysaccharide schleimhautpathogener und -apathogener Shigella-Stammpaare

Zusammenfassung

Schleimhautpathogene und -apathogene Varianten je eines Sh.flexneri 3- und eines Sh.boydii 2-Stammes wurden vergleichend serologisch und toxikologisch untersucht.

Beide Varianten des Flexner-Stammes wiesen übereinstimmendes Verhalten und serologische Identität ihrer O-Antigene sowie gleich große Endotoxicität auf.

Die Rolle der O-Lipopolysaccharide bei der Auseinandersetzung zwischen Mikro- und Makroorganismus wurde besprochen, die Bedeutung des O-Formenwechsels diskutiert und die Unabhängigkeit des spezifischen pathogenetischen Prinzips der Shigellen von O-Form und Endotoxicität herausgestellt.
