Zusammenfassung

Es wird die Theorie aufgestellt, daß auch Mikroben ihre spezifischen, durch Viren verursachte Krankheiten haben und in der Zeit ihres eigenen Krankseins andere Krankheiten verursachen, als zur Zeit ihres gesunden Daseins. Daß z. B. der sogenannte Streptococcus haemolyticus scarlatinae nichts anderes als ein banaler, vergrünender Streptococcus ist, der am Scharlachvirus erkrankt und so aus einem pyogenen zu einem toxinbildenden Streptococcus wird. Das gesamte Krankheitsgeschehen beim Scharlach wird auf Grund dieser Theorie erklärt.
