Die mechanischen Eigenschaften des M. retractor bulbi in der Katze (Anstiegs- und Abfallzeiten der Einzelzuckung und der tetanischen Kontraktion und Fusionsfrequenz) liegen zwischen den Eigenschaften der schnellen und langsamen Zuckungsfasern des M. obliquus inferior.
