Sommario
Summary
The problem of the propagation of a torsional wave in a curved wire is examined. The displacements with a natural and with a forced curvature are calculated and the corresponding dispersion relations are obtained on the basis of a purely elastic model.
The results are discussed in connexion with the problem of the propagation of a signal in a wire-type acoustic delay line and compared with the results previously obtained by other workers.
